Shaaanxo has used this primer for years and it is because of her that I have wanted to try it. I finally picked it up and have been using it for about two months. Today I want to share my thoughts on it with you.
Stila is a brand I haven’t tried much from. From memory, I’ve tried some of their eye shadows, their Stay All Day eye primer and eyeliner. This year I decided I would try more from them, starting with this One Step Correct Colour Correcting Primer.
Stila One Step Correct Primer
This is marketed as a “primer, colour corrector, brightener and anti-ageing skincare serum that does it all”. Sounds great huh?
I have enlarged pores and sometimes some foundation can sink into and emphasize them, making them more noticeable. The only primers I have had any success with is this one and Makeup Forever’s Smoothing Primer.
Stila One Step Correct Primer
It comes in a plastic bottle with a pump to dispense the product, which I’m a big fan of, it’s very easy to dispense a small amount.
When pumped out you can see how all three colours are swirled together and when it’s blended out it doesn’t leave any colour on the skin, its transparent.
This primer helps my foundation to look better and not settle into my pores as much. Now, my pores are still visible, but they weren’t nearly as bad as they were previously. I like how this product helps to even my skin tone, counteract any redness and give it a nice velvety finish ready for my foundation application.
For smoothing my skin I prefer MUFE’s primer as I feel it helps my foundation look even more smooth than this does, which for me is the big difference between both.
While I like this, I’m not sure that I would repurchase it just because I prefer MUFE’s primer more.
Thanks for reading and until next time, take care xx
