Covergirl foundations are some of my favourites because they’re excellent quality and super affordable. I have quite a few of their foundations but this one is my absolute favourite. I love everything about it.
This is definitely a medium to full coverage foundation, make no mistake about it. This is not light coverage by any means. ½ a pump is enough to get a medium coverage and one full pump for full coverage.
I’ve tried applying this with beauty blender and a brush and the best brush I’ve found for it is Bobbi Brown’s Face Blender Brush. This gives a nice medium coverage. The beauty blender It gives medium coverage with a gorgeous finish and soaks up excess product.
The foundation comes in a glass bottle that’s a little heavy and bulky. It does come with a pump which I love, as you know from previous posts.
I do need to set this with a powder otherwise will stay tacky and it transfers. The only time I didn’t set it, nothing blended on top of it correctly but once it is set everything blends as it should.
This is marketed as a 3-in-1 combining primer, foundation and concealer. Although I don’t like to use this under my eyes because it’s so thick it just settles into my fine lines and makes my under eyes look dry, heavy and makes me look older than I am.
This foundation has a thick but creamy consistency, it’s easy to apply and blend and it’s long wearing too.
I use 810 Classic Ivory and haven’t found it to oxidise on me. It wears for around eleven hours before the foundation starts to break down around my nose and on my chin.
The only downside is, Covergirl products are not available to buy in Ireland, so to get them here you need to use a forwarding service, unless you or someone you know is visiting the states.
Have you tried this or any other Covergirl products? What did you think of them? I would love to hear.
Until next time, take care xx
