If you’re a regular reader you’ll know from previous posts that Covergirl make some of my favourite foundations. Their Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation is my favourite affordable foundation
Let’s start with the packaging. I absolutely love the packaging of this foundation, for a few reasons. Firstly, it’s a slim, lightweight tube that takes up little space in my drawer or make up back. It’s compact and lightweight so perfect for travelling.
I don’t have to worry about dropping it. I know this won’t break or crack if I drop it. It’s also easy to squeeze out a small bit at a time so I don’t waste product.
I also love the colour and design on this. It’s very girly and feminine, although, some may disagree. I love that it’s pink and striped, but there are transparent parts so you can see the foundation and the colour of it through those.
I use the shade 105 Classic Ivory, which is the teeniest bit too light for me, but once I apply my bronzer, blusher etc it looks fine and I can get away with it.
It offers medium coverage, although, with a little extra I could get full coverage and the opposite for a lighter coverage. It sets to a radiant finish which I love.
I usually set my foundation with powder, however, this one I don’t as it can look heavy or powdery so I prefer to use a setting spray as I find it looks better.
It settles into smile lines so I like to set those areas of my face to help minimise that.
It applies beautifully with both a brush and beauty blender. My favourite brush to apply it is the Face Blender by Bobbi Brown or the buffing brush by Real Techniques.
The buffing brush gives sheer coverage and the face blender gives medium coverage.
It lasts really well too. I can easily get 12-14 hours wear time from this.
It’s a very lightweight foundation, although you can feel you’re wearing something, it doesn’t feel heavy.
This foundation doesn’t fade or go patchy on any areas of my face. I haven’t found this foundation to emphasise my pores or cling to dry patches and emphasise them either.
The downside? As with all Covergirl products, this is not available in Ireland, buying online is the only option. It’s super affordable, I think I paid about $8 USD for it , which is very cheap, especially given the quality.
It’s well worth giving this foundation a go if you’re in the market for something that can be worn with light, medium or full coverage, doesn’t require touch-ups, won’t fade or break down and doesn’t cost a bomb either.
Thank you for reading,
Until next time, take care xx
