Over the last couple of years, Irish blogger, influencer and entrepreneur, Suzanne Jackson, has been building her beauty empire and releasing product after product, all of which have received and continued to receive, huge hype and rave reviews.
Suzanne’s line of beauty products includes everything from false nails, lashes, to face & eye palettes to lip kits. A few of which I have tried, and have been very impressed by. In today’s post I am reviewing her tanning mouse in Medium. Her range of tanning products in particular receives huge hype, and with good reason.
I purchased this from Roches Pharmacy, along with the b.Tan ‘Ain’t Nobody Got Time For Dat!’ 9-minute pre-shower tan, which if you saw this post, will know that it did not work out well for me. The SoSu tan however, is without a doubt is one of, if not the best tans I have ever tried — it is beautiful.
The Tan
Suzanne’s line of tans includes lotion, mousses and instant tans, to date, the only body tan I have tried, is this one, so I can’t comment on the others or compare them to this one. I would love to try the lotion version of this one, and once I am finished this, I will definitely be trying it.
Mousse is my favourite formula for tans, my skin loves them and I find them the easiest (and quickest) to apply, and this tan is no exception. I take one pump and rub all over the area I want to tan and it dries down very quickly, so you do need to work quickly with it, in my experience.
Because it dries down quickly, it’s not long before you have your whole body done, and by the time you’re finishing off application, the tan elsewhere has dried down, so there is no stickiness or tackiness and you can get dressed as normal. I like to wear a nightdress or something loose when tanning and I prefer to apply my tan in the morning and allow it to develop throughout the day before rinsing that evening.
Instructions on the bottle advise letting the tan develop for a minimum of seven hours before rinsing, which I agree with. By that time, I have a beautiful colour and I am ready to rinse off the excess. Once developed I am left with a beautiful bronze colour, that’s not dark or orange. It doesn’t look over the top or particularly false, either.
There are extracts of Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Goji Berry and Chamomile in this tan, so it’s not drying and it feels really lovely when applied and when developing. I don’t find it overly hydrating, but then my skin is very, very dry, so I usually need a body butter to provide adequate hydration.
I apply body butter every single day, not just for my skin, but also to prolong my tan and help it to last as well as it can, but to fade as evenly as possible, and this tan does just that. It fades so evenly — a lot more evenly than all other tans I have tried. I usually always have issues with patchiness in my elbow creases, and also at the backs of my knees, but with this tan, I don’t have that.
It lasts for a good 3-4 days before starting to fade on me, and by day 7, I tend to scrub it off, but I could easily get an extra day or two from it. I’ve never experienced this with any other tan.
This tan doesn’t smell, either upon or just after application, or when it is developing. It does transfer however, although, it doesn’t look patchy or uneven. It doesn’t stain my clothing or bedding, which is a bonus.
I was sceptical about the tan given how much hype it receives, but to be honest, it deserves every bit of hype, and then some! I purchased mine from Roches Pharmacy and it was only around €12 on offers so it was excellent value, in saying that, it’s only €21.95 full price, which is a great price given how nice the tan is and how well (and evenly) it wears off.

The Packaging
The tan comes in a large plastic bottle, with a pump, which I love. I love a pump for tans. The bottle is black in colour with golden yellow writing. I really love the packaging, there is something very cute about it
My only criticism is that the pump leaks. So, when I dispense a pump onto my tanning mitt, a few seconds later a couple of drops leak out of the pump. It’s not a major issue, but it is worth noting. For me, I leave the bottle sitting on a piece of tissue so as when the drops fall, the don’t get onto my vanity and stain it.
