Concealer is one of my favourite makeup products. I love it for what it does (when you find a good one) and how it does it. There are few I repurchase as I am picky with them and look for a lot from them.
My under-eye area is dry and I have fine lines, so I like concealers that are creamy, give good coverage, look well both over and under makeup, don’t crease, don’t sink into and accentuate fine lines, wrinkles etc. and don’t make my under-eye area look drier than it is, or crepey etc. I also don’t like them to feel heavy, I love a lightweight or weightless concealer (I like this with pretty much all my products to be honest). A lot to ask for in a concealer, I know. 😂🙈
For years I loved and repurchased ProLongwear concealer by MAC. It was my holy grail, and the only one I consistently repurchased, and then I tried the Radiant Creamy Concealer by NARS and fell in love with it. Both concealers are creamy, full coverage, don’t crease, wear well, perform well and look well both over and under makeup.
However, last year I discovered the One Drop Weightless Concealer by Catrice and that has become my absolute favourite concealer and one I’ve repurchased multiple times. I’ve loved their Liquid Camouflage concealer for years, and both of those are my ultimate favourites. I’ve repurchased the Liquid Camouflage endless times. It’s probably my most repurchased concealer, and it cost less than five euro. You can’t go wrong with it.
This concealer by Clarins is one I have been dying to try for a long time, when I first heard about it, I instantly I wanted to try it. I loved the sound of it. I finally got a sample of shade 01, however it was awful on me. It was too light, it made my under-eye look dry, heavy, crepey, accentuated every line I have. It was horrendous on me. I was pretty disappointed by that as I’d heard so many good things about it throughout the years.

One day while browsing TK Maxx I found a cute little set which included this concealer in the shade 02 and I figured, sure I might as well try it, if I don’t like it, maybe my mam or a friend might like it. Turns out, shade 02 is a good match for me. It is about ½ a shade too dark for me, however, I apply it before my foundation so it isn’t an issue for me really.
I much prefer this shade. It suits me, it does not make my under-eye look how shade 01 did. I can’t believe the difference between them. This has become another favourite of mine, and it’s one I can see myself repurchasing time and time again.
It is a beautiful creamy consistency that looks well both over and under makeup. It gives my under-eye area a nice glow, but doesn’t look shiny, greasy or oily. It wears well and doesn’t crease and my foundation applies beautifully over it. When I set my under-eye, I don’t have any issues with the area appearing drier than it is or appearing heavy or like I have several layers of product(s) on.
It’s full coverage, a little goes a very long way. I use less than a pea-sized amount to do both under-eyes. It’s worth noting that I do use Becca’s Under-Eye Corrector too, however, even without this, I still need very little of this concealer and my dark circles are hidden.

I love the packaging. I love the squeezy tube, it’s very easy to just dispense the right amount of product and when you’re finished, you can cut the tube and get the very last of it out. This is why I adore tubes, there is literally zero waste as you can cut them open to get every little bit out
This concealer retails for €26 / £22.50 / $33. It’s expensive, but it is worth it given how little you need and how long it will last. As I mentioned above, I got mine in a set in TK Maxx for around €12 – €15, so it is worth keeping an eye out in TK Maxx for it (when shops re-open).
Thank you for reading, until next time, take care xx
