Superdrug’s skincare is cheap, affordable and basic, but they make some gorgeous products, some of which I have repurchased multiple times. Their Hydrating Serums (day and night) are two that I have bought more than once. They are the most basic of hydrating serums, but they work well and layer well, and my dry skin loves them.
Because I love them so much, I decided to try their Vitamin E Serum & Leave-On Facial Mask. Both the serum and mask contain Vitamin E, A, B, F and H. They also contain Horse Chestnut Extract, which is great for adding hydration to the skin.
The serum has a crème-gel texture and when pressed into the skin, it takes approximately a minute or so to absorb. The mask has a jelly-crème texture and takes a little longer to absorb.

Both feel very moisturising on my skin, and they layer well with every other product that I use them with. I’ve never had any issues with them pilling or leaving any sticky residue on my skin, they both absorb into my skin and leave it feeling hydrated and moisturised.
They both have a gorgeous scent, it’s not strong at all, it’s quite mild, and when you apply other products over top (even those that are unscented), the scent of both the mask and serum dissipate.

They add a nice amount of hydration and moisture to my skin, but on their own they aren’t enough, I do need to layer them with other hydrating products, which I tend to do with most products anyway so for me, it’s not an issue.
Both products come in plastic packing, which I know I will be reusing. The serum has a pump dispenser and the mask is in a tub. The mask is priced at £3.49 and the serum is priced at £4.49, both are currently included in Superdrug’s buy one get one half price offer.
If you want skincare that is effective, affordable and easy to get, then I’d recommend both of these. I thoroughly enjoy them and will be repurchasing for sure. The mask is available here and the serum here.
Thank you for reading, until next time, take care xx
