Hey guys,
It’s been quite a while since I have posted on here. I explained why in this post over on my Instagram. I will have more posts coming on the blog over the next while, so I hope you’ll continue to read and enjoy them. I appreciate your support especially when I am sporadic in posting or even completely silent on here. With that being said, it’s time to get stuck into today’s post, which is one I am very excited to share with you all.
I love a good hyaluronic acid, it’s something I use in every routine, both morning and night. I never ever skip it. My ultimate favourite hyaluronic acid is The Inkey List’s. I love the texture, how it absorbs, how it feels on my skin, how my skin feels when I use it and how well it works for me.
I have tried various hyaluronic acid serums, but The Inkey List’s is the one that I always go back to. I started using this one around Christmas and I am about ¾ way through the bottle and I am finally ready to share my thoughts on it with you today.
This is a watery consistency, but it’s not as thin as most watery consistencies are, it’s a little thicker. The Inkey List’s Hyaluronic Acid serum is a very similar consistency, which is partly why I love it. I’m not really a fan of very water consistencies in skincare. I don’t know why or what it is, but I find they just don’t work that well for me personally, I find a serum that is thicker or creamier works better for my skin.
This feels gorgeous my skin. I like to spritz my skin with my Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray (basically like the same as the Avène & La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water Sprays) and then apply a few drops of my hyaluronic acid and massage it in all over. I like to do two layers before going in with other products. If I am using a lot of hydrating layers then I will only use one layer my hyaluronic acid, as anymore isn’t necessary.
This absorbs quickly (with 1 ½ minutes) and my skin feels gorgeous once it is absorbed. It feels lightly hydrated and a little plump, ready for my next product. I can layer this with anything and it never causes any issues. No pilling, no negative reactions, doesn’t stop other products from absorbing.
It’s completely unscented, which I don’t mind. I like products that are mildly scented, I enjoy scented products, but that said it makes no odds whether or not this is scented, I just want it to work, and it does! I have combination skin. My skin was dry, however recently I’ve noticed that my nose and chin are slightly oily and my cheeks, forehead and jawline are all dry.
I love that it is housed in a frosted glass bottle with a dropper dispenser. It’s great that you can see how much you have used/how much is left and the dropper makes it easy to dispense just the right amount. It’s also only €6.80 / £5.75 for 30ml, which is a steal given how great it is!
Although The Inkey List’s Hyaluronic Acid is my favourite, this comes very close to it, and I will happily repurchase this one in future. I have a few Hyaluronic Acid’s to get through but when I do, this is one I will be repurchasing for sure!
