Dry lips are something I suffer with all year round and I struggle to find lip balms that help the dryness and dry patches. Nuxe Rêve de Miel is the only balm I have found that really helps.
I spotted this lip balm on Look Fantastic and decided to order it as Nuxe’s was out of stock.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect as I had never tried any Dr Hauschka products nor had I read or watched any reviews on this lip balm.
The balm comes in a small, sturdy, white pot with a screw on lid and silver font. For something so small it has a little weight to it, but nothing major.
The balm itself is a honey colour but when applied to the lips it is translucent. It is slightly thick, almost like Vaseline so a little goes a long way. You really don’t want much at all otherwise your lips will feel greasy.
I noticed that although the balm is slightly thick in the pot, but it’s not thick on the lips.
I love how long this balm lasts on my lips before absorbing into them. It easily lasts a good 3-4 hours before it starts to absorb into my lips.
It’s not the most hydrating balm I have used, but it is pretty good and it is one I would repurchase again. I feel that the Rêve de Miel is a little more hydrating and nourishing.
Although I really like this and would repurchase it, it is a balm I go through quickly. More quickly than other balms. I bought this in mid-January and already I have run out.
Now, maybe that’s because its winter time so my lips are most dry or something but with the Nuxe Rêve de Miel it will last me for maybe 5-6 month, it lasts ages, a lot longer than this one and it’s a similar price so its something to note when purchasing either of these balms.
This balm can be bought on Feel Unique for €12.60. They also have Rêve de Miel lip balm which you can buy for €11.99 and there is a 3-for-2 offer on also.
