Hey guys, it’s week four of my affordable beauty series and this week I’m going to talk about powders. I hope you enjoy this post. 😊
Setting powders are something I struggle with in the drugstore. However there are two that I like and that work for me.
One is by Rimmel and it is their Lasting Finish Powder Foundation. Although this is a powder foundation, I don’t find it has much coverage so I use it as a setting powder.

It’s a nice powder that sets my make up without looking heavy or cakey and it’s one that looks nice too. Having dry skin I sometimes find that powders can make my makeup look heavy but this doesn’t do that.

The shade range isn’t great. It comes in four shades. I have the second lightest shade which is Silky Beige and it’s a good match for me.
This one I like to pair with Bourjous Healthy Mix Serum foundation. I find it works best with lighter coverage foundations.
I don’t like it with the 3-in-1 foundation from Covergirl because it can look a bit too much with that. However with a lighter coverage foundation it works really well.

The packaging is nice. It’s plastic, lightweight, compact and small. At the very bottom of the compact, under where the powder is there is a big mirror which is very handy especially if you’re out and about. There was a sponge with this but I binned it as I never use those.

The second powder is the No.7 Perfect Light Loose Powder. This is a lovely loose powder. It gives a velvet finish to my make-up and looks gorgeous. It’s a very fine, soft powder and it’s extremely lightweight too.

It’s great for both under the eyes and on the face. If I’m going somewhere and I want to bring this I know I won’t need to bring a separate powder for both my under eyes and my face, this one is enough.

The packaging is quite bulky and messy but I overlook that because of how good this powder is.

As with most No.7 products this is on the pricier side at €14.50, although it will last a while.
