I have been using The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 for a little while now and today I want to share my thoughts on it with you.
When I first heard about hyaluronic acid about two years ago I was immediately put off by the word “acid”. I thought “acid?! That cannot be good for your skin!”.
However, after researching it and reading more about it I realised that it is actually good for your skin and it’s naturally present in our bodies, albeit not for hydration purposes.
I have been using this Hyaluronic Acid by The Ordinary for the past two months now and wanted to share my thoughts on it with you.
I decided that while using this I would use no others serums or oils and instead just use this and stick to my regular morning and night time moisturisers. In the morning I use Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser for daytime. At night time I use Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Renewal Cream (full review here).
For reference I have dry and dehydrated skin with no oiliness whatsoever. Because of how dry my skin is I need to use products that are deeply hydrating, moisturising and nourishing. This acid is both of those.
It has a dropper applicator, which I love so I can measure out exactly how much I need without wasting product or pouring/squeezing out too much. It comes in a lovely frosted glass bottle that’s quite small and lightweight.
This particular hyaluronic acid costs €6.80 on Cloud 10 Beauty (where I bought it) so I figured for that price I may as well give it a try and see if it could help my skin at all.
I have been using this for around two months now and I have noticed some differences in my skin.
What differences have I noticed you may ask, well, let me tell you…
When I apply any skincare products they absorb a lot better than before and more quickly too. My skin is more plump and it appears more fresh and awake. I don’t think I’ve used a product before that has been so hydrating on my skin.
This has a lovely serum texture which is slightly thick although it absorbs almost immediately upon application. It is very lightweight and doesn’t leave any tackiness or stickiness on my skin. But it does leave my skin feeling soft and hydrated.
If you are looking for a new serum or if you have dehydrated or dry skin this is something to check out because I can’t see it disappointing you.
Have you tried this product or another product from The Ordinary? What did you think of them? I’d love to know.
Until next time, take care xx
